Evan Crane is in his 17th year overall with Kentucky’s Athletics Communications and Public Relations Office, currently serving as senior associated director. Crane began working with UK in July 2008 as a student assistant before being promoted to media relations assistant in July 2010, assistant director in July 2013, associate director in 2016 and his currently position in 2022.

A native of West Paducah, Ky., Crane handles the day-to-day public relations aspects for the Kentucky’s national championship rifle program while he coordinates media operations for football home games at Kroger Field and men’s basketball home games at Rupp Arena. Crane also handles all day-to-day operational aspects of the ACPR office, including game day staffing, organizing office equipment and supplies and more. He also oversees all media operations for conference and NCAA Championship events on campus.

Crane graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky in May 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Before coming to UK, Crane received an associate in arts degree from West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Evan and his wife Megan reside in Lexington and have a daughter Eileen, who was born in 2017, and two sons, Louie who was born in 2021 and Willis who was born in 2024.
