Professional Experience
Kumar was hired as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in October 2024. Prior to being hired as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, he spent time as a Coaching Assistant at Kentucky during the Summer and Fall of 2024. During this time, he worked directly with Track & Field, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Cross Country, Baseball, Softball, Gymnastics, and Swim. Before joining the Olympic Sports Department, Kumar spent a year working with the Kentucky Women’s Basketball team (2023-24) where he led the freshman development program and was responsible for the implementation of the Sport Science data collection and tracking.

Personal Information
A native of Georgetown, Kentucky, Kumar attended Kentucky State University where he played baseball for 4 –years and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (2022). In 2019, Kumar began assisting the strength and conditioning department at Kentucky State as an intern, working with Football, Track & Field, and Cross Country. After graduating from Kentucky State, Kumar went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Kentucky (2024).
