2017 (Sophomore): Broke her ankle in training during the spring and is still not 100%, but has been cleared to play a set amount of minutes … Extremely fast player along the wings and can play wide, central, midfield and forward.

2016 (Freshman): Extremely fast player and is good at going around people with her speed … Started in six of her 17 appearances this season … Plays on the wings and uses her speed to get in behind players and stretch the defense … Launched seven shots with four on goal. 

Pre-College: LaMaya Williams from Gilbert, Az., played her club soccer for the Scottsdale Blackhawks 98 under the direction of Chris Brown. Under the Santan Legacy 97, Williams led her team to back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015, as well as National League in 2015. With Chandler High School, Williams was also a member of the track and field team, winning state championships in 2013 and 2014. Off the field, Williams was a member of the honor roll and National Honors Society. The daughter of Dereck and Pamela Williams, LaMaya plans to major in engineering or business.
