Major – Individual and Family Development

1998-99 – Honorable mention All-American in the 400 IM… Placed 13th in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships… Also finished 35th in the 200 backstroke and 37th in the 200 IM at the NCAA Meet… Ranks in the UK all-time top ten in seven events in four different strokes… At the SEC Championships, finished fourth in the 400 IM, ninth in the 200 IM, and 10th in the 200 backstroke… Member of 800 freestyle relay which achieved the NCAA “B” cut… Captured the 200 backstroke and the 400 IM against Indiana… Won the 1000 freestyle against South Carolina and Arkansas… Captured the 400 IM against Alabama… Won the 200 IM and 200 backstroke against LSU and Texas A&M.

1997-98 – All-America selection in 400 IM… Set school records in 200 backstroke and 200 and 400 IMs… Finished 13th in 400 IM, 20th in 200 IM and 19th in 200 back at NCAA meet… Came in fourth in 200 IM, second in 400 IM and fifth in 200 back at SEC Championships… Won 200 and 500 free against Louisville… At Tennessee, won 200 back and 200 breast… Won 400 IM against Southern Illinois… Finished first in 200 back, 200 breast and 200 IM at Quad Meet… Won 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 back at Nike Cup… Swam 1000 free at Arkansas, winning in second fastest team time of the year.

Pre-College – High School All-American as a sophomore, junior and senior… Won 1995 junior nationals in the 200 IM… Finished 15th in the 200 backstroke at the 1996 Summer Senior Nationals… Won the 400 IM at the 1996 YMCA Nationals and the 200 IM at the 1997 YMCA Nationals… Led George Washington High School to state titles in 1995, 1996, and 1997… Swam for the UCAT Club team under Greg Olson.
