    • Tossed an indoor personal best 64’3.25”/19.59m to move to No. 3 on the UK indoor all-time list alone. Mark came up 3.25 inches shy of the eighth-place last scoring spot
  • SEC seventh place in the shot put
  • Season best was 63’11.75″/19.50m to win at the Hoosier Open in December
  • Won the Clemson Tiger Paw Invite, McCravy and Hoosier Open
  • Worst throw of season was 60’7.75″/18.48m at SECs

2017-18 (Junior)

  • NCAA qualifier in the shot put and discus
  • Tossed a PB 64’6″/19.66m in the shot put at NCAA East Prelims to qualify for NCAAs

Outdoor – NCAA East Prelims qualifier in the shot put and discus … Tossed PRs at East Prelims in both events … Placed 16th in the discus with a mar of 181’2″/55.21m … Placed 17th in the shot put with a mark of 59’3″/18.06m … Placed ninth in the shot put at SECs … Placed 12th in the discus at SECs … Placed third in the shot put at the SEC Relays in Baton Rouge in late April
Indoor – Placed 10th at the SEC Indoor Championships in the shot put … Season best in the shot put was 58’8″/17.88m

2015-16 (Freshman)
Outdoor – Competed at six meets … Tossed a season-best 166’4″/50.70m in the discus at the Kentucky Relays to place fourth … Shot-put season best was 51’9″/15.77m to place 20th at Baldy Castillo Invitational
Indoor – Tossed a weight throw PR 52’1.25″/15.88m to place 10th at the Hoosier Open … Shot put season best was 54’1″/16.48m in a 10th-place finish at the SEC Championships

Prior to UK
The fourth best discus thrower in the nation for the class of 2015.  He is the school record holder in the discus with a personal best of 189’1” (57.63m). He was conference, regional and district champion.  Castle was also the state runner up in the discus for Ohio.  Listed at 6’6” 245lbs, he was the starting tight end for his football team as well as in the starting lineup for his basketball team. Castle was a first team all-state selection in football; two times first team all-league in football and first team all-district and all-league in basketball. He intends to major in business/economics.
