Wayne Hall enters his first season as a member of the Kentucky men’s soccer coaching staff after being hired as an assistant coach on Feb. 4, 2025.

Hall comes to Kentucky from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, where he helped the Camels to the 2021 NCAA Tournament and has served as the Camel’s associate head coach since April of 2020. He has also spent time with Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas as an assistant coach and played in college for the University of South Florida at the division one level from 2013-2014 after a two-year stint playing for Tyler Junior College in 2011 and 2012.

“I’m delighted to be joining the University of Kentucky Men’s Soccer Program,” Hall said. “I want to thank Coach Cedergren and the UK administration for the opportunity to represent this program. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in helping UK Men’s Soccer continue its winning traditions and achieving our ultimate goal.”

“In hiring Wayne, we feel like we’ve completed a great coaching staff for 2025 and beyond,” Cedergren said. “Throughout his work as a coach, Wayne has shown the ability to develop talent at an elite level both technically and tactically that we feel will be a strong influence to our program. Wayne impressed us with his dynamic personality, deep understanding of the game, and his unique ability to relate to all sets of players. We are thrilled to welcome Wayne to Kentucky and look forward to utilizing his assets to our advantage this season.”

During a two-year playing career at Tyler, Hall earned all-region honors both seasons and was named All-American in 2012 when he led his club to the national title. He transferred to South Florida before graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler.
