Played very well in spring practice … During the three spring scrimmages, he completed 19 of 27 passes (70.4 percent) for 276 yards and one touchdown … Fits the mold of the pass/run quarterbacks who excelled in offensive coordinator Ron Hudson’s system during Hudson’s term at Kansas State … New coaching staff likes his athleticism and playmaking ability and wants to get him on the field … The coaching staff has designed an offensive package in which two quarterbacks play at the same time, and the plays worked well in the spring … Also played tailback and wide receiver in the dual-QB package … Has played in 14 games, starting five.
