- Two-way player at wide receiver, tight end and outside linebacker at Bourbon County
- Started two seasons for head coach and former Wildcat alumnus David Jones
- Didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school
- As a senior, had 26 receptions for 392 yards and four touchdowns, while charting 30 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks in only six games due to a COVID-shortened season
- Also a four-year letter winner in basketball and lettered one season in track
- Earned All-Region and All-District honors in basketball as a senior
- Member of the 2A State Runner-Up team in 2019
- Also excelled academically, earning first-team academic All-State honors three years
- Member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and the Beta Club
- Named the United State Marine Corps Distinguished Male Athlete of the Year in his senior class

- He chose Kentucky because it would best push him to reach his academic and athletic potential, while also being able to represent his hometown team
