Returned to the team during off-season conditioning workouts ? Had originally decided to give up his last season of eligibility, then had a change of heart ? Spent last season on defense ? Moved to tight end in the spring ? Showed good blocking ability, even though his wiry frame is not a prototype for the position ? Also can play wide receiver if needed and has shown flashes of big-play ability during his career ? Has finished his bachelor?s degree and is one of six current Wildcats who have graduated already ? Has played in 29 regular-season games.

2000 (Junior): Played in nine games, mostly as a middle jumper on the field goal block team ? Also played in two junior varsity games.

1999 (Junior): Redshirted.

1998 (Sophomore): Played in all 11 games as a reserve receiver and as a middle jumper on field goal attempts … Caught four passes for 107 yards, a 26.8 average, and two touchdowns … Caught a 57-yard bomb for a touchdown at Louisville and followed with a 46-yard TD catch vs. Eastern Kentucky … Blocked a field goal in the win at Louisiana State.

1997 (Freshman): Played in nine games and caught four passes for 25 yards … Also played in one junior varsity contest.

High School: A two-year starter at Buchholz HS in Gainesville, Fla. ? Was an all-area tight end as a junior ? Caught 17 passes for 438 yards, a whopping 25.8-yard average, and four touchdowns ? Moved to wide receiver his senior year and caught 16 passes for 219 yards and one score ? Also played some cornerback and defensive end ? Helped his team to the state semifinals in Class 5A his junior year ? Coached by John Hunt ? Played one year of varsity basketball ? Competed one year in the high jump and won the county and district meets ? Member of the ?Touch of Class? community service organization and the ?Classy Cats? school honorary society ? Won honors in economics study and was named the speech student of the year.

Personal: Full name is Jermaine Orenthal White ? Born 7-28-98 in Trenton, Fla. ? Son of Albert Chisolm and Gren Chisolm ? Jermaine?s uncle, Greg Pitman, was the first black quarterback at Florida State and a cousin, Paul White, was a walk-on player with the Seminoles ? Major is marketing.

The Cats? Cause: Guest speaker at various elementary schools and a motivational speaker at Charter Ridge Hospital (1997-98) ? Helped work the UK Children?s Hospital ?Breakfast With Santa? (1999) ? Participated in the UK Schoolhouse Rock academic pep rally for fourth- and fifth-grade students (2001).
