  • Jeremy Bruce is in his first season as a graduate assistant at Kentucky, working closely with the defensive line and assistant coach Anwar Stewart.
  • Prior to Kentucky, spent the 2023 season as a graduate assistant on the defensive line at Southern Methodist under head coach Rhett Lashlee.
  • Helped the Mustangs capture the 2023 American Athletic Conference title, their 12th overall and first since 1984.
  • Intergal part of the best defense in the AAC in 2023, as SMU led the conference in several categories, including third down conversion defense, defensive touchdowns, passing yards allowed, scoring defense, team passing efficiency defense, team sacks and total defense.
  • Coached three of the top defensive linemen in the AAC in Elijah Chatman, Jordan Miller and Elijah Roberts … Chatman earned First-Team AAC All-Conference honors after charting 33 tackles with 9.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks … Miller, who earned an invitation to the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl, had 26 tackles, including 4.0 TFL with one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry and a half sack … Roberts was named to the AAC All-Conference Second Team after compiling 37 tackles, including a team-high 12.5 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, seven quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
  • Before SMU, Bruce was an outside linebackers/defensive line graduate assistant at Oregon State under head coach Jonathan Smith (2021-22).
  • Part of back-to-back bowl appearances at OSU … 2021 marked the Beavers’ first bowl game since 2013 … OSU won the 2022 Las Vegas Bowl with a win over the Florida Gators.
  • Also served as a defensive line graduate assistant for a short time in 2021 at Fresno and was a defensive line quality control coach at Wyoming in 2020.
  • First coaching stint was from 2018-20 as the outside linebacker/defensive line coach at Whittier College in Whittier, California.
  • The Los Angeles, California native attended Beverly Hills High School where he earned Second-Team All-Ocean League honors as a senior.
  • Following high school, played linebacker at Golden West College and helped lead the Rustlers to a Central Championship Bowl in 2011.
  • Transferred to Campbellsville University in 2014 and helped lead the Tigers to a Mid-South Conference title in 2015 and a berth in the NAIA playoffs.
  • Served as a student assistant coach for Campbellsville in 2017.
  • Graduated in 2018 with a degree in fitness/wellness specialist and is currently working on a master’s degree in sports, fitness and recreation management from UK.
