2001: Indoor ? Continuously improved his mile time during the season, running a seasonal best 4:19.05 at the SEC Indoor Championships?Outdoor ? Placed fifth in the SEC quad meet at Georgia in the 1500m run? Ran a then personal best 3:57.05 for the 1500m run in his heat at the Sea Ray Relays? Finished first at the Louisville Invitational in the 1500m run with a new personal best time of 3:55.87.

2000: Cross Country – Letterwinner for the Cats and helped lead UK to a first-place finish at the Furman Invitational.

High School: Runner-up in the 1,600 meters at the 1999 Georgia Class 4A State Championships, finishing with a personal-best time of 4:17.82… Also ran a personal-best 1:55.89 in the 800 meters at the 1999 State meet… All-State in cross country four straight years… School record holder in the distance medley, 4×400, 4×800, 800 meters and 1,600 meters.
