Freshman (2018): SEC Freshman of the Week (5/7/18) … Has come in and really added some pop to the UK lineup with her power and ability to give a good at bat … Went 5-9 in the NCAA Lexington Regional – her first taste of the postseason … In the regional, she had five hits, two runs scored, four RBI and an extra-base hit … Hit her first-career home run at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic in Orlando to tie the game at 1-1 vs. Duke in the third inning … Hit home runs in game one and three at #9 Texas A&M … Has scored a run in 15 games, and reached base safely in 20 of the last 32 games she has appeared in … Had eight RBI vs. South Carolina, including two home runs … Hit her first-career Grand Slam vs. South Carolina on Friday and had a three-run blast in game two to clinch the series win and UK’s spot in the SEC Tournament … Had back-to-back games with an RBI against Duke and Bradley … Hit two HR on the same day in UK’s DH vs. SEMO and Ohio for her first and second career long balls at John Cropp Stadium … Was on a four-game hitting streak, a career best, before UK was no-hit by Kelly Barnhill on March 9 … Was the Battle of the Bluegrass MVP with a career-high tying three RBI in UK’s win over Louisville … Had an extra-base hit in all three games at #9 Texas A&M. 

Pre-College: Five-foot-six power-hitting Mallory Peyton will make the short three-hour trip east from Madisonville, Kentucky to join the Wildcats infield rotation. She has a 3.97 unweighted GPA in addition to a high ACT score in the classroom. She led Madisonville to three-straight state tournament appearances and played a major role in helping the team set the single-season state home run record, with 63 bombs in 2015. Peyton had an outstanding season in 2016 where she was named Region Two Player of the Year, NFCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-State for the third year in a row. Her outstanding offensive season was capped off with a .512 batting average, while notching 62 hits, 22 doubles and 18 home runs. She led Madisonville North Hopkins High School to finishing third at the state championship a year ago.
