Men’s Golf Earns NCAA Regional Selection

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s golf team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats officially earned an at-large bid to the Bermuda Run Regional, which will be contested at Bermuda Run Country Club, May 18-20.

The selection, announced Wednesday afternoon on Golf Channel, marks the first NCAA nod for UK since 2022.

The Bermuda Run regional, hosted by Wake Forest, is one of six regional sites across the country. In all, 81 teams and 45 individuals were selected. The low five teams and low individual on a non-advancing team from each region will qualify for a spot in the championship finals. Thirty teams and six individuals in total will compete in the finals from May 29 – June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Kentucky has 10 appearances at the NCAA finals site all-time, the last coming in 2018.

The 14 teams in the Bermuda Run Regional are listed below, including three schools in the Southeastern Conference.

Kentucky’s 2025-26 season was highlighted by a pair of team wins at the Colleton River Collegiate and the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational, the first victories for the Wildcats since 2018. The Wildcats own a team scoring average of 286.52 (+7.2) through 10 events this season and have scored under par as a group in eight rounds and four tournaments overall.

UK enters the NCAA Tournament ranked No. 59 in the country by Scoreboard Powered by Clippd and with a overall record of 85-60-0.

Freshman Cole Stockard won both of Kentucky’s home events, taking first at the Cullan Brown Collegiate and the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational to become the first Wildcat to win multiple events in the same season since J.B. Holmes in 2003-04. Stockard leads UK with a 71.62 scoring average this season and 15 rounds at par or better. He was a three-time SEC Freshman of the Week selection.

Stockard is one of three players to appear in the starting lineup in every event this season for the Cats, alongside senior captain Jack Schoenberger and sophomore Jacob Lang.
