No. 9 Tennessee Completes Sweep of Kentucky With 10-3 Win
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 9 Tennessee softball team defeated Kentucky 10-3 on Monday night. The win for Tennessee completed its sweep of Kentucky.
Kentucky will next play at Northern Kentucky on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET with the game streaming live on ESPN+.

Tennessee hit two two-run home runs and got back-to-back RBI singles all in the top of the first inning to put up half a dozen runs before UK was able to grab a bat. TEN 6, UK 0
In the top of the second, a lead-off home run scored Tennessee’s seventh run. UT 7, UK 0
Tennessee went up by nine in the top of the third as a walk and a hit by pitch scored on a two-RBI double for the Lady Vols. UT 9, UK 0
Carly Sleeman hit her team-leading 12th home run of the season in the bottom of the third and both Karissa Hamilton and Peyton Plotts had RBI singles later in the inning to put a crooked number on the board for the Wildcats. UT 9, UK 3
Tennessee’s final run was a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning. FINAL – Tennessee 10, Kentucky 3
