LEXINGTON, Ky. – Good morning! This is a Kentucky Volleyball notebook update for April 8, 2026.
Spring Matches Remaining
Friday, April 10 at Indiana (Bloomington, Ind.) … 7pm ET
Friday, April 17 vs. Louisville* (Historic Memorial Coliseum) … 6pm ET
*The Kentucky Volleyball match vs. Louisville on April 17 will be a ticketed event. First serve is at 6 p.m. ET. All tickets ensure entry into Historic Memorial Coliseum, however once inside, seating will be general admission with all seats first come, first serve.
Friday’s match vs. Indiana will also be a ticketed event where tickets can be bought online through the Indiana Athletics Ticket Office. Additionally, the match will be streamed online at BTN+.
Volleyball in Paradise
The Kentucky Volleyball team has been announced as one of four teams that will be participating in the 2026 Paradise Invitational at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas this upcoming fall.
Kentucky will join Houston, Purdue and SMU in the Bahamas as part of an elite non-conference volleyball event featuring one team from every power four conference from September 11-13 at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. This will be the fourth year that these four teams have participated in a non-conference event together, with the 2025 version coming in Lexington as Kentucky beat SMU (3-1) and Houston (3-0) inside Historic Memorial Coliseum.
Tickets for the Paradise Invitational are om sale now at ParadiseInvitational.com. The match-ups, match schedule, match times and television assignments will be announced by GS Global Sports and ESPN later this spring as the event nears closer.
Kentucky in the Windy City
The Kentucky Volleyball team will be playing Penn State on Sunday, September 6 at Wrigley Field in a historic outdoor match inside one of Major League Baseball’s most iconic venues as part of the inaugural 2026 SEC/Big Ten Volleyball Challenge.
The match will be televised on FOX and will either have a first serve of 7 p.m. ET or 9 p.m. ET. Nebraska will play Missouri in the other match featured in the two showcase match-ups of the SEC/Big Ten Challenge. The start times for both UK vs. Penn St., and Nebraska vs. Mizzou will be confirmed at a later date.
The Chicago Cubs will be hosting the event at Wrigley Field, with all ticket sales going through the Cubs ticket office. Public ticket sales for the event begin Thursday, April 9 at 11 a.m. ET at Cubs.com/BigTenVolleyball. It will mark the first time that Wrigley Field has ever hosted volleyball.
Kentucky in Major League Volleyball
Kentucky had three players named Major League Volleyball All-Stars as Kaz Brown, Azhani Tealer and Leah Edmond were all named All-Stars. The All-Star Game was on Sunday in Orlando where Leah Edmond had 10 points in the contest.
