Men’s Golf Begins April at Mason Rudolph Championship
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Kentucky men’s golf will return to the Mason Rudolph Championship for the third consecutive season when the Wildcats visit Vanderbilt Legends Club (par 71, 7112 yards) this Friday through Sunday for the 54-hole, stroke-play event.
The Cats are one of 14 teams in a field which features five of the top 25 schools in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings, including the No. 1 ranked Auburn Tigers. UK is one of six squads from the Southeastern Conference that will be teeing it up in the Music City metro this weekend.
Last season, Kentucky finished fourth at the Mason Rudolph, totaling a 12-under par team score of 840. Jack Schoenberger was the low individual for the Cats, coming in a tie for fourth with a three-round total of 11-under par.
This will mark UK’s seventh appearance at the Mason Rudolph all-time, its best finish coming back in 2008 when the team took second.
The Wildcats last competed at the Linger Longer Invitational, where they finished seventh among 15 teams at 3-under par. The freshman combo of Cole Stockard and Cameron Phillips led the way for Kentucky, with Stockard tying for 27th at 1-under par, while Phillips finished in a tie for 29th at even par for the championship.
Kentucky has finished under par as a team in all three events it has played this spring, highlighted by its win at the Colleton River Collegiate in early March.
UK’s lineup will be headed by Schoenberger, who leads the team in scoring average this spring at 70.67, including six under par rounds. The senior captain will be followed by the freshman Stockard, who has a team best 12 rounds at par-or-better on the 2025-26 season. Jacob Lang, who has two top 20 finishes to his name on the year, will play out of the third position. He is followed by Jacob Settles, who will be making his fourth-straight start of the spring, and Phillips, who draws his second career appearance in the starting five. Junior Luke Coyle will compete as an individual for the Wildcats.
Tee times for the first and second rounds will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday’s final round will start at 8:30 a.m. ET. Live coverage of round three will air on SEC Network+ on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. ET.
