Kroger Field to Install Blue Turf Playing Surface This Summer

LEXINGTON, Ky. — As part of the ongoing reimagining of Kroger Field, in a move designed to lean even further into the heart of Big Blue Nation, Kroger Field will undergo a full turf replacement this summer, featuring a blue surface from goal line to goal line and green end zones.

The new design will also showcase grass-colored green end zones, creating a bold contrast intended to “bring the spirit of Kentucky football to life in a way fans can see the moment they walk in.”

The updated field is expected to debut ahead of the 2026 season.
