UKTF Releases 2026 Outdoor Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky track and field team and Head Coach Lonnie Greene have announced the meet schedule for the 2026 outdoor season, beginning the following week after the conclusion of the indoor season.
The 2026 outdoor season will kick off on March 20 and 21 in Orlando, Fla. At the UCF Black and Gold Challenge at the UCF Track and Soccer Complex. The Wildcats also began the 2025 outdoor season in Orlando, where they totaled nine event wins and two school records.
The Wildcats will close out the opening month of the schedule in Raliegh, N.C. at the Raliegh Relays at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility. This meet will feature as the second distance only meet, along with the David Hemery Valentine Invitational during the indoor season, of 2026 for UK.
The month of April will open with the annual Texas Relays in Austin, Texas at Mike Myers Stadium on April 2-4.
Following a week off, on April 17-18, the schedule will feature a dual meet weekend, including the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational, with the latter being a distance-only event for the Wildcats.
Prior to the start of postseason competition, Kentucky will host the annual Jim Green Invitational to kick off the penultimate month of the season on May 1-2.
This year, the University of Auburn will host the SEC Outdoor Championships at Hutsell-Rosen Track on May 14-16. Last season, the Wildcats hosted the SEC Championships for the first time in 11 years, dating back to the 2014 spring season.
After hosting the event in 2024, Kentucky will once again play host to the 2026 NCAA East First Round on May 27-30 at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex. The Cats are also set to host the event again in 2028.
The outdoor season will conclude on June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore. At the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field, where the Wildcats earned their best team finish on the men’s side in program history in 2025.
The Wildcats will complete the indoor portion of the 2025-26 season next weekend on Mar. 13-14 in Fayetteville, Ark. at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
