No. 23 Kentucky Posts Highest Home Score of Season, Falls to No. 6 Georgia

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 23 Kentucky (1-8-1, 1-4-1 SEC) broke the 197 barrier at Historic Memorial Coliseum for the first time this season, posting its third score of 197+ in the last four weeks in a 197.025-197.275 defeat against No. 6 Georgia (10-3, 3-3 SEC).

Cecily Rizo claimed the first all-around title of her career, scoring a career-high 39.350. Rizo also claimed the vault title with a career-high-tying 9.900, while Gabby Van Frayen and Delaynee Rodriguez shared the bars title with scores of 9.875 and Creslyn Brose won the floor title with a 9.925.

Kentucky began the meet with a 49.175 on vault, scoring above 49.100 for the eighth time in eight meet this season. Cadence Gormley led off with a career-high 9.800, followed by Rizo’s 9.900 for her stuck Yurchenko Full. Callie Gardner added a 9.800, followed by Ryan Noonan with a 9.850. Rodriguez fell on her Yurchenko 1.5, the first fall in competition of her collegiate career, only scoring a 9.150. Anna Flynn Cashion steadied the ship by anchoring with a 9.825.

Kentucky scored a 49.200 on the uneven bars, outscoring the Bulldogs on the event. Rizo and Sabrina Nemcek began the rotation with identical scores of 9.800, followed by Van Frayen’s career-high 9.875. Chesney Bennet stuck her double layout dismount on her way to a 9.850, but Noonan fell on her release move and only scored a 9.200. Rodriguez rebounded from her vault to round out the rotation with a 9.875.

The Wildcats scored a season-high 49.375 on the balance beam, once again outscoring Georgia on the event. Rizo led off with a career-high 9.825, followed by Brose with a 9.850. Sharon Lee delivered a 9.900 for the second consecutive meet, followed closely by Bennett, who posted a 9.875. Van Frayen had a bobble on her acro series, only scoring a 9.675. The Cats were able to drop the score, as Rodriguez closed the penultimate rotation by matching her career-high 9.925.

Kentucky capped off the evening with a 49.275 on floor. Van Frayen began the rotation with a 9.800, with Rizo adding a 9.825 in the No. 2 position. Bennett matched that mark with a 9.825 of her own, but Garnder was only able to muster a 9.525 after stepping out of bounds on her first pass. Rodriguez brought the Cats back with a 9.900, allowing Brose to earn her 10th career win on floor in the anchor position with a 9.925.

Kentucky will compete in its final road meet of the 2026 regular season next weekend, traveling to Tuscaloosa for a dual against No. 3 Alabama. The meet from Coleman Coliseum will start at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, March 6 and will be streamed live on SEC Network +.
