Big Blue Preview: No. 18/19 Kentucky Women’s Basketball Plays Host to No. 14/16 Ole Miss for Play4Kay Game on Sunday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 18/19 University of Kentucky women’s basketball program (19-7, 6-6 Southeastern Conference), will play host to No. 14/16 Ole Miss (20-5, 7-3 SEC) in Historic Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. ET.

It is the program’s annual Play4Kay game, which aims to highlight the fight against breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.

The Firecrackers Jump Rope Team will perform at halftime.

Doors open to fans one hour prior to tip.

Fans can still purchase single-game tickets to the Kentucky-Ole Miss game, which is one of just two more home games for the program this season. To shop single-game tickets, click here, and for a full list of the program’s promotional lineup, click here.

Darren Headrick will have the Kentucky-Ole Miss radio call for UK Sports Network on 630 AM WLAP in Lexington and on 790 AM WKRD in Louisville. It also will be carried on SiriusXM channels 117 and 191 and on the SiriusXM App.

Big Blue Nation also can watch the game on SEC Network, Sam Gore and Angel Grey on the call.

UK Athletics recommends eight parking locations for fans attending games this season, including two parking locations with shuttle transportation (The Cornerstone Garage, High Street Lot). The shuttle at those parking locations starts 90 minutes prior to tip-off and breaks at the end of the first quarter. It resumes at the start of the third quarter and runs one hour postgame.

The Wildcats have just two more home games this season, including No. 14/16 Ole Miss on Sunday and top-five South Carolina on March 1. The Cats enter the contest with the Rebs 11-2 at home this season and 26-5 in the building under head coach Kenny Brooks.

Kentucky has played two ranked games in front of a home crowd this season, earning a win over No. 5/5 Oklahoma and taking just a one-point loss to No. 7/8 Vanderbilt. Overall this season, Kentucky is 3-4 against Associated Press ranked opponents.

UK brings a 19-7 record into the meeting with UM, including 6-6 in the SEC. Kentucky is coming off a triumph over Texas A&M, 75-55, last Thursday, which included a brand new starting lineup. UK went on a 16-0 run to start the game and earned a 27-5 first quarter, which marked its best scoring run and its best single-quarter scoring defense against a league opponent this season.

Tonie Morgan reset the single-season assist record with her eight assists in that game, improving to 219 in 2025-26. All-American Georgia Amoore previously held the school record with 213 through 31 games in 2024-25, but before that, the school record was owned by Patty Jo Hedges and stood for more than 40 years.

UK became the first SEC school to have a different player record at least 213 assists in consecutive seasons.

Two other players inched closer to a pair of school records for themselves, too.

Clara Strack, who with her three blocks in that game, improved to 69 blocks on the season, which is just four off the single-season blocks record she set last season (73). Asia Boone hit four 3s, as she improved to 73 3s on the season, just 11 off of the single-season 3-pointer school record set by Rhyne Howard in 2019-20 (84).

Kentucky’s 20-point margin of victory over Texas A&M marked its 12th 20-plus point win this season, which is its most in a single season since 2012-13 (17).

Sunday will mark the 49th all-time meeting between the Wildcats and the Rebels.

Kentucky trails Ole Miss, 29-19, in the all-time series, and UK trails UM, 12-10, in Lexington.

The Wildcats are on a six-game losing streak against the Rebels. UK hasn’t defeated UM since Feb. 20, 2020 (94-52), while UK hasn’t defeated UM at home since Jan. 26, 2017 (89-57).
