Kentucky Travels South to Face No. 12 Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – Kentucky (0-6, 0-2 SEC) returns to the road on Friday, traveling to No. 12 Auburn (1-3, 0-3 SEC) for a 8 p.m. ET contest on February 6. The meet from Neville Arena will be streamed live on SEC Network + with Jeff Shearer and Toi Garcia on the call.

The Wildcats enter their first test in the month of February after scoring a season best 196.475 against No. 1 Oklahoma last week. In that meet, Kentucky scored 49+ on all four events for the first time this season, posting season best scores on the uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.

In last Friday’s meet, juniors Creslyn Brose and Delaynee Rodriguez each took home event titles against the top-ranked Sooners. Brose scored a season best 9.950 on floor for her first event title of the season while Rodriguez scored a career best 39.550 in the all-around for her fifth title of the season and third all-around win in four meets.

Both Brose and Rodriguez hold NCAA top ten event rankings, with Brose slotted at No. 6 on floor with a 9.925 average and Rodriguez sitting at No. 8 in the all-around with a 39.444 average.

Kentucky’s vault team sits at No. 12 in the country with a 49.156 average through the first month of the season. Led by sophomore Anna Flynn Cashion’s two event wins and season best 9.950 score, the Wildcat vaulters have posted team scores of at least 49.100 in all four meets this season.

Against No. 1 Oklahoma, Kentucky posted the best team score of the meet on floor, posting a season best 49.350. Brose’s 9.950 posting led four Wildcats scoring 9.850 or higher, including career high scores of 9.875 from Chesney Bennett and 9.850 from Callie Gardner.

Kentucky will head back to Lexington for another home meet next week, hosting No. 7 Missouri at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, February 13. The meet will serve as I <3 Kentucky Night at Historic Memorial Coliseum and tickets are available for the meet at ukathletics.com/gymtix or on Ticketmaster.
