Gymnastics Welcomes No. 1 Oklahoma to Historic Memorial Coliseum

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky (0-5, 0-1 SEC) returns to Historic Memorial Coliseum on Friday, hosting No. 1 Oklahoma (4-0-1, 2-0 SEC) at 6 p.m. ET on January 30. The matchup between the Wildcats and the defending national champions will be televised on SEC Network with Jason Ross, Jr. and Kennedy Baker on the call.

The Cats enter Friday’s meet after posting their best score of 2026 at No. 4 LSU. In the meet, Ryan Noonan posted career highs on both of her events, scoring 9.875 on both vault and bars. Chesney Bennett, Delaynee Rodriguez, and Gabby Van Frayen also set or tied career best marks, with the former performing a career best floor routine and the latter two matching best scores on beam.

Rodriguez has been the model of consistency in the all-around, scoring a season best 39.425 at LSU after back-to-back marks of 39.400 to begin the season. The Las Vegas native ranks No. 9 in the NCAA and No. 4 in the SEC in the all-around with an average of 39.408. The junior also slots in at No. 19 on beam with a 9.883 average and No. 31 on bars with a 9.867 average.

Anna Flynn Cashion continued her hot start on vault with another score of 9.875+ in Baton Rouge. The sophomore from Cornelius, N.C. ranks No. 9 nationally on the event with an average of 9.900. Noonan also slots in at No. 34 on the vault with a 9.850 average.

Creslyn Brose made her return to the mat last week after missing the first two weeks of the season. The All-American competed on both beam and floor, scoring a 9.900 on the latter. Brose currently ranks No. 15 in the country on the floor exercise and has scored 9.9+ in 24 of 27 career floor routines.

Oklahoma enters the meet after claiming the No. 1 ranking for the first time this season, posting the top team score of 2026 with a 198.425 last Friday. The Sooners are making their first trip to Lexington since Excite Night 2012—the first meet in the Tim Garrison era.

The meet will serve as Rhinestone Cowgirl Night at Historic Memorial Coliseum—with fans having the chance to win limited edition UK Gymnastics LED cowboy hats. Kentucky will return to the road next week, traveling to the Plains to face No. 11 Auburn at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, February 6.
