Eleven Kentucky Wildcats in the NFL Playoffs
Eleven “NFL Cats” will be part of the National Football League playoffs, opening Saturday afternoon when Super Wild Card Weekend kicks off.
Eight of the 11 former Wildcats are expected to be active on Wild Card Weekend, with the possibility of a ninth depending on defensive back Brandin Echols’s injury status for the Monday night contest between his Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans.
The other “NFL Cats” expected to be active include Ray Davis, Maxwell Hairston and Deone Walker (Buffalo), Trevin Wallace (Carolina), Darrian Kinnard and Carrington Valentine (Green Bay), Josh Hines-Allen (Jacksonville) and Alvin “Bud” Dupree (LA Chargers). Eli Cox is a member of Houston’s practice squad and Jamon Johnson is on Green Bay’s practice squad.
