Alex Wollschlaeger Accepts Invite to Hula Bowl

Kentucky senior offensive lineman Alex Wollschlaeger has accepted an invitation to participate in the 80th annual Altrua HealthCare Hula Bowl, to be played January 10, 2026 in DeLand, Florida. He will join fellow offensive line mate and tackle Shiyazh Pete in the showcase.

Kickoff is at noon ET at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at HulaBowl.com.

Wollschlaeger, from Aurora, Illinois, started all 12 games at right tackle in his lone season at Kentucky after transferring from Bowling Green State. He registered a 100 percent grade on his assignments over 830 snaps, had 21 knockdown blocks and allowed just 1.5 sacks on the season. He graded at 82 percent for his technique score.

The 6-foot-7, 311-pounder played 55 games in his collegiate career, starting 50. He logged more than 2,300 career snaps and was a two-time All-Mid American Conference selection while at Bowling Green State. He also excelled in the classroom where he was a two-time Academic All-MAC and Dean’s List member and graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State.

The Hula Bowl is the nation’s longest running college football all-star game dedicated to seniors, having debuted in 1946. The Hula Bowl is an event where all NFL, UFL and CFL teams will be represented by their top scouts during Hula Bowl week practices and players will have a unique opportunity for one-on-one interviews with teams. 120 of the top senior athletes will be selected to play.
