DeLeye, Hudson, O’Brien and Tuozzo Named AVCA All-Americans

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Volleyball team had four of its players named American Volleyball Coaches’ Association All-Americans Presented by Nike on Wednesday as Brooklyn DeLeye, Eva Hudson, Kassie O’Brien and Molly Tuozzo all were voted as all-Americans by the committee.

DeLeye and Hudson were both voted as first team all-Americans with O’Brien named to the second team and Molly Tuozzo being voted by the coaches to the third all-America team. The honor for Tuozzo and O’Brien is the first for their careers with Hudson and DeLeye both earning their second AVCA All-America honors.

Kentucky’s four AVCA All-Americans are tied with Nebraska for the most in the country this season. The UK school record for most all-Americans in a single season is five which was set back in 2020-21 (Madison Lilley, Avery Skinner, Gabby Curry, Azhani Tealer and Alli Stumler). The AVCA All-America honors are voted on by the head coaches of all NCAA D1 volleyball-playing institutions with all who are voted on as all-region players entered into the pot for all-America status.
