LEXINGTON, Ky. – The USA Swimming Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming and U.S. Masters Swimming, today announced the election of Kentucky Alumna Anne Berry as Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors. A part of the University’s first ever women’s swimming class, Berry has made significant impact on the sport and USA Swimming Organization already.
Berry is a lifelong participant in the sport and brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in corporate and government relations. Her engagement across all levels of swimming, from athlete and coach to Masters swimmer and advocate, reflects her deep commitment to water safety and expanding swimming opportunities for children nationwide.
Graduating as a part of the class of 1986, Berry began her collegiate swim career as a club swimmer at the University of Kentucky. She was then moved to a part of the very first women’s swimming program for the Wildcats. Berry became a “swim nerd”, constantly working and elevating the sport to a national level, even after her own athletic career ended.
A longtime supporter of the Kentucky swim and dive program, Berry will serve as Board Chair from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029. A Wildcat alum, we commend her for all she does for the future of swimming in the USA and helping the youth of today.
