In the Second Half
- Kentucky began the second half with the starters.
- Early in the half, Michigan State took the lead to 19 points at 50-31.
- Kentucky got as close as 10 points at 58-48 and 60-50.
- UK was still within 12 at 67-55 when MSU put the game away with an 8-0 run.
- MSU eventually led by as many as 24 points at 80-56.
