  • Kentucky is 3-2 on the season and Michigan State is 4-0.

  • Malachi Moreno totaled nine points and tied for team highs with four rebounds and three assists.

In the First Half

  • Kentucky started Denzel Aberdeen, Otega Oweh, Collin Chandler, Mo Dioubate and Brandon Garrison, for the fourth game in a row.
  • Malachi Moreno was UK’s first substitution at the 16:43 mark.
  • Chandler tallied the game first five points on a layup and 3-pointer.
  • With Kentucky leading 17-14, Michigan State went on a 19-2 run for a 33-19 lead.
  • MSU made its last shot to give the Spartans their largest lead of the half at 44-27.
    • Aberdeen paced the Wildcats with nine points, including 6-6 at the foul line.

 

In the Second Half

  • Kentucky began the second half with the starters.
  • Early in the half, Michigan State took the lead to 19 points at 50-31.
  • Kentucky got as close as 10 points at 58-48 and 60-50.
  • UK was still within 12 at 67-55 when MSU put the game away with an 8-0 run.
  • MSU eventually led by as many as 24 points at 80-56.
