Winners of consecutive Southeastern Conference games, the Kentucky Wildcats step out of conference play this week to host Tennessee Tech at Kroger Field on Saturday (1:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network Plus).

Kentucky blasted Florida 38-7 last week, one week after winning 10-3 at Auburn. The Cats are now 4-5 on the season.

Tennessee Tech is having a magical season in 2025. The Golden Eagles are 10-0 and are ranked sixth in the nation in the AFCA FCS national poll.

These two schools will be meeting for just the second time in history. UK beat TTU 72-13 in 1951.

Cat Scratches: Kentucky Offense Looking to Continue Improvement on Saturday

The Kentucky offense had its share of struggles early in the season. However, the Cats have found their rhythm over the last four games.

Twice in that span, the Cats have scored at least 30 points against Southeastern Conference opponents, most recently a 38-point effort in Saturday’s win over Florida. Following Tuesday’s practice, offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan spoke about his unit and their continued improvement.

“I really mean this, it has been about the process for a while now,” Hamdan said. “I think it just comes down to improvement and I think this offense, this team, there is something in us that’s all about improvement and have been even before we got a decent little run here.”
