Kentucky Women’s Soccer Signs Six to Class of 2026

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s soccer added six members of the Class of 2026 to the program on National Signing Day, head coach Troy Fabiano announced on Thursday. All six new Wildcats are high schools seniors and will join the team for the 2026 season.

Among the additions are multiple All-Americans, ECNL All-Conference players, and national champions. The six signees include Sydney Arendarczyk, Dani Chaump, Kyla Dawn, Elise Ernest, McKenzie Godfrey, and Elle Price. Detailed information about each signee can be found below.

 

Sydney Arendarczyk – Midfielder

Hometown: Lake Zurich, Ill.

Club Team: Rockford Raptors FC

High School: Lake Zurich HS

Accolades: ECNL All-Conference, ODP Midwest Regional Team

Why Kentucky: “I chose Kentucky because of the coaching staff and team culture. I want to be a part of the competitive environment they’ve built and compete at the highest level.”

 

Dani Chaump – Forward

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Club Team: Sting Royal ECNL

High School: Lake Highlands HS

Accolades: 3x ECNL All-American, 3x ECNL First Team All-Conference, 2025 High School District MVP, 2025 High School Golden Boot Award, 2024-25 THSCA 6A Super Elite Team, 2025 ECNL Playoffs National Finalist

Why Kentucky: “I chose Kentucky for many reasons! The main ones being the coaches, the beautiful campus, and the competitive program that continues to grow and succeed. Also, the city of Lexington. Kentucky felt like the place where I want to be!”

 

Kyla Dawn – Forward

Hometown: Cedar Hill, Texas

Club Team: Legends FC

High School: Duncanville HS

Accolades: ECNL 07G National Champion, All-ECNL Southwest, 2x High School All-American, 6A First Team All-State, 6A Second Team All-State, 2x District MVP, 2x All-Area, All-State Super Elite High School, IMG Top 150 Player

Why Kentucky: “I chose Kentucky because it felt like home.”

 

Elise Ernest – Forward

Hometown: Sterling, Va.

Club Team: NVA Soccer

High School: Potomac Falls HS

Accolades: 2x First Team All-Region, 2x ECNL All-Conference

Why Kentucky: “I chose Kentucky because I loved the environment and the coaching staff, plus the feeling when I was on campus was unmatched.”

 

McKenzie Godfrey – Forward

Hometown: Atlanta, Ga.

Club Team: Tophat Soccer Club

High School: Midtown HS

Accolades: 2023 Girls Academy National Champion, 4x USYNT ID Selection

Why Kentucky: ‘I chose Kentucky because of the amazing environment, coaches, and competition.”

 

Elle Price – Midfielder

Hometown: Quakertown, Pa.

Club Team: Players Development Academy

High School: Moravian Academy

Accolades: USYNT ID Camp, ECNL All-Conference, 2x Pennsylvania State Semifinalist, 2x ECNL National Quarterfinalist

Why Kentucky: “I chose Kentucky for so many reasons. I really admire the team’s grit, determination, and style of play. I love how they possess with a purpose and look to go forward with any opportunity that they earn. Troy, Steve and the coaching staff are also a huge part of my decision to come to Kentucky. I really value their intensity and commitment to push their players to perform at the highest level, and their connection to each individual personally. I was also really drawn to how the coaches and team value and encourage academic effort and excellence. I love Lexington and the beauty of the city, and how the campus creates its own separate community.”
