LEXINGTON, Ky. – On Thursday, the swimming and diving program will head just down the road to take on the Louisville Cardinals at 4 p.m. EST. The Kentucky men’s team, ranked No. 21, will take on No. 12, while the unranked Wildcat women will dual against No. 7 Louisville.

This is the third straight meet that the Wildcats will face a top 25 ranked team in both the men’s and women’s CSCAA October Coaches Poll. Both the men’s and women’s squads for Kentucky swimming and diving hope to bounce back against the in-state competitor Louisville after falling to Indiana and LSU.

The Wildcats are led by experienced seniors Grace Frericks, Libby Grether, Levi Sandidge, and Ryan Merani, with additional recent aid from diver Avery Giese, junior Carson Hick, freshman Falemana Tuufui, and more. Although they fell in their first two dual meets of the season, there were many amazing, record-breaking swims highlighted by the performances of those mentioned above.

The Cardinals are coming off two dual meet wins last Thursday against No. 4/6 Tennessee and No. 20/20 Auburn. They also have Filip Kosinski, who is the ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his times in the two top 20 victories.

Th meet between Kentucky and Louisville will begin on Thursday at 4 p.m. EST. There will be no live watch link available, but fans can follow along on the Meet Mobile App and social media for results.
