Team Records and Series Information

• Kentucky is 2-2 overall, 0-2 in the Southeastern Conference.  South Carolina is 3-2 overall, 1-2 in league play.
• South Carolina leads the series, 22-13-1, including 11-5-1 games played in Columbia.  (Note: series records do not include UK’s 2021 vacated win at USC.)

• Kentucky plays at Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 27, at noon on ABC.

Team Notes

• Kentucky scored on its opening drive for the second straight week after Seth McGowan went up the middle for a 20-yard touchdown rushing.
  • UK also scored a field goal on its second drive. Ten points is the most points that UK has scored in the first quarter against South Carolina in Columbia since Sept.12, 2015 (14).
• Kentucky went 2-of-2 in the red zone, moving to 16-of-17 through four games.
• Kentucky’s defense made two fourth-down stops – one late in the third quarter and a second late in the fourth quarter – giving the Wildcats eight turnovers on downs this season.

Player Notes

• QB Cutter Boley completed 10-of-19 pass attempts for 124 yards.
  • It marked his first SEC start.
  • He is the first UK QB to start an SEC road game as a freshman since Maxwell Smith at Georgia on Nov. 19, 2011.
• RB Seth McGowan rushed 17 times for 112 yards and one touchdown.
  • It is his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game and third of his career.
  • He is the first UK player with at least 75 yards rushing and a touchdown rushing in each of the first four games of the season since George Adams in 1984.
  • He has rushed for 93 or more yards with a touchdown rushing in three consecutive games, and 100+ yards with a touchdown rushing in two consecutive games.
  • With his 20-yard touchdown rushing on the Cats’ opening possession, he now has scored a touchdown rushing in each of UK’s four games this season.
    • His seven touchdowns rushing are the most through four games since Benny Snell in 2018 (also seven).
  • He is the first UK player with at least 112 yards rushing and a touchdown rushing against South Carolina in Columbia since Rafael Little in 2005.
• RB Dante Dowdell had 13 carries for 24 yards.
  • He has 942 career rushing yards, needing 58 more for 1,000
• WR Kendrick Law led the team with five receptions and had 41 yards receiving.
• TE Willie Rodriguez had two receptions for a career-high 66 yards.
  • He had a career-long catch of 53 yards.
  • It is UK’s longest pass play of the season thus far.
• LB Daveren Rayner had a team-lead seven tackles.
• DL Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace had three tackles, including two tackles for loss and a sack (-13 yards).
  • It marked his 17th career sack, and his second at Kentucky (in consecutive games).
• DL Tavion Gadson collected the first quarterback sack and first QB hurry of his career.
• P Aidan Laros blasted a pair of kicks for a 56-yard average.
  • Both of his punt attempts went 56 yards.
• K Jacob Kauwe went 1-of-1 on extra point attempts and 2-of-2 on field goals (27 yards, 42 yards).
  • The redshirt freshman remains perfect in his young career on 8-of-8 on field goals and 12-of-12 on PAT.
    • He is 3-of-3 on field goals more than 40 yards.
