Wildcats Return Home, Host Mizzou Sunday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky (7-3-0, 1-1-0 SEC) will close its second week of Southeastern Conference play on Sunday, hosting Missouri (4-4-1, 1-1-0 SEC) at The Bell for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Admission to the match is free for all fans and the match will also be streamed on SEC Network +.

The match will be the Wildcats’ first test against a non-ranked opponent in four matches, with Kentucky posting a 1-2-0 record in its toughest stretch of the season. All three of the Wildcats’ losses have come to teams that are currently ranked in at least one of the two major polls.

Both squads enter Sunday’s match looking to bounce back from losses on Thursday, with Kentucky falling 1-0 at No. 21 Georgia and Missouri dropping a 2-0 home decision to No. 5 Tennessee. The Wildcats are playing their first match at The Bell since dispatching No. 20 Oklahoma last Friday, the program’s first win in an SEC opener since 2015.

Kentucky is undefeated in its last seven SEC home contests, a streak that started with a 1-0 defeat of Missouri in the last meeting between the two squads in 2023. Missouri leads the all-time series 9-4-2 but the Wildcats hold a 4-3-0 edge in matches played in Lexington.

Kentucky’s offensive attack continues to be led by a trio of 15-point scorers in Alexis Tylenda, Anna Sikorski, and Catherine Rapp. Sikorski and Tylenda have each contributed six goals and three assists while Rapp boasts five goals and five assists. Tanner Strickland has also scored two goals and added five assists, while also drawing four penalty kicks.

The Wildcats will stay home for a single-match week, hosting Alabama on Friday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET at The Bell.  Admission to all 2025 Kentucky Soccer regular season home matches will be free to the public.
