Two Kentucky Women’s Soccer Matches Designated for Television
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two Kentucky Women’s Soccer contests will be televised on the ESPN Family on Networks during the 2025 season, the network announced.
The Wildcats’ home match against No. 18 Ohio State, slated for Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m. ET, will feature on ESPNU while the squad’s regular season finale at Texas A&M on Sunday, October 26 at 5 p.m. ET will be shown on the SEC Network.
Fans can still watch all 18 regular season matches from their own homes, with the remaining 16 matches slated to be live streamed on SEC Network +.
The non-conference finale against the Buckeyes will mark the first meeting between the border rivals since the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Kentucky holds a 5-0-1 record in the all-time series and will look to knock off a ranked Big Ten opponent on its home turf for the second consecutive season. In 2024, the Cats defeated No. 9 UCLA, 2-0, in a nationally televised contest at the Bell.
Ohio State, ranked No. 18 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches Top 25, is one of three fixtures on the Wildcats’ schedule against preseason top 25 teams. No. 17 Vanderbilt and No. 21 South Carolina will also make the trip to Lexington, playing at the Bell on October 5 and October 16, respectively. The Wildcats, who are receiving votes in the preseason poll, will also travel to (rv) Georgia on September 18.
The Cats will gun for their first win over Texas A&M in the regular season finale in College Station, as the Aggies hold a 8-0-2 advantage in the series. In 2023, the teams played to a 1-1 draw at Ellis Field in Head Coach Troy Fabiano’s only meeting with the Aggies during his Kentucky tenure.
Kentucky will wrap up its preseason preparations on Saturday, August 9, welcoming Xavier to the Bell for one final exhibition match. The contest will start at 7:30 p.m. ET and features as the second leg of a doubleheader with Kentucky Men’s Soccer, who will start their preseason run in an exhibition against Lipscomb at 3 p.m. ET.
Admission to all 2025 Kentucky Soccer regular season home matches will be free to the public. For the latest on UK Women’s Soccer, follow the Wildcats on Facebook, Instagram, X and at UKathletics.com.
