Kentucky Women’s Soccer to Host Fan Day Sunday, Unveils 2025 Promotional Schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s soccer is set to kick off the 2025-26 athletic calendar on Sunday, hosting Austin Peay in an exhibition that will serve as the first intercollegiate contest of the new season at 3 p.m. ET on August 3. The lid lifter will also serve as the team’s annual Fan Day will inflatables, a face painter, and post-match autographs all present to celebrate the beginning of the season.
Additionally, themes for all 15 Kentucky Women’s Soccer home matches have been unveiled, highlighting a three-month slate of top-tier soccer. Admission to all Kentucky Soccer regular season home matches will be free to the public, featuring five SEC games, a pair of non-conference matches against Big Ten foes, and six straight weeks of home matches to begin the season.
Following Sunday’s Fan Day, the exhibition slate will close on Saturday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET with perennial NCAA Tournament squad Xavier traveling down I-75. The match will serve as Camper Appreciation Day, with 2025 campers invited back to the Bell to watch the team gear up for regular season play.
The annual Bark at the Bell match will kick off the regular season on Thursday, August 14 as Jackson State comes to down for a 7:30 p.m. ET match. The opening weekend of the season will conclude with Senior Day festivities, set to take place in accordance with a 1 p.m. ET match against West Georgia on Sunday, August 17.
Students will be welcomed back to the Bell on Thursday, August 21 for a K Week Student Tailgate Night for a 7:30 p.m. ET match against East Tennessee State. A trivia night on the eve of the new academic year will happen at the Detroit Mercy match at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 24.
The third week of the regular season features Big Blue Greek Night on Thursday, August 24 when Purdue Fort Wayne comes to town for a 7:30 p.m. ET match. As football season begins in the Commonwealth, all Kentucky Women’s Soccer alumni are invited back to Lexington for Alumni Appreciation Day to watch the Cats take on Illinois at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 31.
The final week of non-conference play sees the Cats welcome Mercyhurst at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 5 for Kick Out Cancer Night in support of Pediatric Cancer Awareness. A high-caliber match with Ohio State will close the first portion of the season, as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day is celebrated at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 7.
SEC play will commence on Friday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET as Oklahoma makes its first trip to the Bell for a Salute to Service Night.
The Cats will host Missouri on Sunday, September 21 at 1 p.m. ET for Kick the Stigma Day in support of Mental Health Awareness. Glow Big Blue night will take place on Friday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET as the Cats face off against Alabama.
The final month of the regular season will see a 90s Throwback game against Vanderbilt at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 5 and a Kick Out Cancer: Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Match for the final home match of the regular season against South Carolina on Thursday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
