McKenzie Oslanzi Signs With Kentucky Softball

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Softball team announced Friday that McKenzie Oslanzi, the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year and 2024 OVC Player of the Year at Eastern Illinois University, has signed with the Wildcats out of the transfer portal and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Oslanzi owns a career earned-run average of 2.24 with 41 wins in the circle and over 280 strikeouts in 377 innings of work as a pitcher. This past season, she led the Panthers with a 2.70 ERA, collecting 20 wins with 11 complete games and three shutouts with 132 K’s. She helped lead the Panthers to the NCAA Tournament’s Austin Regional, earning the start in both of EIU’s games for the regional. For her efforts this season, she was named the OVC’s Pitcher of the Year.

“I am so excited and so grateful to become a part of the Kentucky Softball program,” Oslanzi said. The whole staff made this process a lot easier for me and I couldn’t be more thankful for their time. I want to thanks my family, friends and past instructors for always believing in me. I can’t wait for these next two years! Go Cats!”

In her freshman season, Oslanzi brought home several honors including OVC Freshman of the Year, NFCA Top-25 freshman nationally, First Team All-OVC, Second Team NFCA All-Region and was voted as a member of the OVC All-Newcomer team in addition to being named the Eastern Illinois Athletics Female Newcomer of the Year award winner.

“McKenzie is an elite competitor and high-level thinker that will play well at the highest level,” UK head coach Rachel Lawson. “Her talent combined with her team-first mindset makes her the perfect addition to Kentucky Softball. We can’t wait to get to work. It’s a great day to be a Wildcat!”

Oslanzi will have two years of eligibility remaining in the Blue and White.
