Kentucky’s Hallie Mitchell Voted All-SEC For 2025
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior softball player Hallie Mitchell was voted to the 2025 All-Southeastern Conference softball team, it was announced by the league office Friday morning.
The All-SEC honor for Mitchell is the first of her career, as she was placed on the Second Team of the nation’s best softball league. This year, Mitchell led the Wildcats with a .364 batting average in conference games, as she tagged opponents for 20 hits, a double, three home runs, 10 RBI and five walks. The Forsythe, Illinois native played in all 24 of Kentucky’s SEC games and led UK with a .429 on-base percentage, ranking inside the top 20 of the SEC in that category.
Mitchell had her career shining moment earlier this season against the Ole Miss Rebels, as she tattooed two balls out for home runs in the opening game of the series against the top-20 Rebs. Included in that was a walk-off three-run home run in extra innings as she hammered one out to right center to conclude one of UK’s most impressive series wins on the calendar.
Kentucky will next learn its postseason fate on Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET with the 2025 NCAA Softball Selection Show hosted by Beth Mowins, Michele Smith, Jessica Mendoza, Amanda Scarbrough and Holly Rowe where the field of 64 teams will be unveiled for the 2025 NCAA Softball Championship.
