Kentucky Hits the Road, Stops at Western Kentucky on Tuesday
Winners of six of its past eight games, the Kentucky baseball team hits the road this week, beginning with a trip to dangerous Western Kentucky on Tuesday.
First pitch is at 7 p.m. ET/6 CT on ESPN+ and audio will air on the UK Sports Network, UKathletics.com app and 630 AM in Lexington.
The Cats (25-16, 10-11 Southeastern Conference) have played much better baseball of late, winning a pair of SEC weekend series, as well a run rule victory over a Top 20 Louisville team. The Cats took two of three from South Carolina over the weekend.
WKU has been one of the pleasant surprises in college baseball, already surpassing 30 wins and hanging around the national polls. The Hilltoppers hit their first real bump in the road over the weekend, suffering a sweep on the road.
The Cats now rank second nationally in HBP with 119 on the season and their pitching remains a Top 25 staff in several major statistical categories.
