LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior Computer Science major Levi Sandidge has earned a nod from the CSC as a Second Team Academic All-American thanks to his dedication to swimming and academic endeavors as well. Sandidge holds a 3.63 GPA, earning his first Academic All-American honor.
The 2024-25 Academic All-American® Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. Individuals are nominated on behalf of each school, in which they must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a 3.50 GPA, and compete in five competitions or finish top eight at a conference meet that season.
This honor goes along with many for Sandidge this year, which have included his All-American swim time in the 1650 freestyle and Second Team All-SEC. The junior standout finished second in the 1650 freestyle at the SEC Championship, wrapping up his junior year with an eight place finish at the NCAA Championship. Sandidge looks to continue not just his swimming success, but also his academic success as he prepares for his final collegiate season.
