Brose, Magnelli To Contest NCAA Championships Tomorrow

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two Kentucky gymnasts—Creslyn Brose and Isabella Magnelli—will close out their 2025 campaigns on the biggest stage, contesting the 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships as individual event specialists on Thursday, April 17.

Both Wildcats will participate in Session II of the national semifinals, starting at 9 p.m. ET at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Magnelli will compete in rotation three on the balance beam and Brose will finish the meet in rotation four on the floor exercise. The duo will rotate with Michigan State.

Magnelli qualified to her third and final nationals by scoring a 9.950 in the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional Semifinals, securing her first career regional championship. As the top individual on a non-advancing team, Magnelli booked her ticket to nationals as an IES on beam for the second straight season. Magnelli has finished the season as a First Team All-American on beam at the national championships in each of the last two seasons, scoring a 9.950 on both occasions to finish fourth in 2023 and third in 2024. Tomorrow’s meet will be the final routine of Magnelli’s storied Kentucky career.

Brose advanced to her first career nationals by virtue of earning the highest score at the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional on the floor exercise, posting a 9.950 for her first career regional title. Brose has earned Regular Season All-American status in each of her first two season as a Wildcat and has earned a perfect 10.0 on floor this season. She will be the 21st Wildcat to compete at the National Championships as an individual. The Cats have been represented at every nationals since 2014, including team berths in 2018 and 2023.

While tomorrow’s competition will be semifinals for the team competition, individual scores from all four apparatus and the all-around will be compiled from both sessions to determine nationals champions in each of the five categories.
