BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Kentucky men’s golf hopes to continue its spring surge when the Wildcats compete at the Mountaineer Invitational, April 14-15 at Pete Dye Golf Club (par 72, 7308 yards).

The 54-hole tournament features an 18-team field and will begin with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. Players will play 36 continuous holes on day one, before the final round is held on Tuesday, with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Kentucky’s lineup will start on holes Nos. 2 and 3 in the opening round.

UK has been playing its best golf of the season of late and is coming off a strong fourth-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship just over a week ago. The Cats’ team score of 840 (-12) was the program’s best since September of 2021 and its sixth-best dating back to the 2001-02 season. Jack Schoenberger and Jansen Preston both finished inside the top 10, powered by matching scores of 65 (-6) in round two of the tournament.

Now, Kentucky will look to continue its recent form in what will be the final event for the team prior to the SEC Men’s Golf Championship. Head Coach Gator Todd will roll with an identical lineup as the Mason Rudolph, featuring Schoenberger and Preston in the top two spots, followed by three freshmen, Jacob Lang, Gavin Clutts and Jacob Settles. Sophomore Michael Hake will once again compete as an individual.

The Mountaineer Invitational field is headlined by No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 28 Texas Tech. West Virginia will serve as the host school. Live scoring will be available for fans on Scoreboard powered by Clippd.
