Kentucky Travels to No. 11 Louisville for Rivalry Game

After a wild, rain-filled weekend series against Ole Miss the Kentucky baseball team travels across Interstate 75 for another showdown against a Top 12 club on Tuesday when it faces rival Louisville at Jim Patterson Stadium.

First pitch is at 8 p.m. ET on the ACC Network and audio air on the UK Sports Network, UKathletics.com app and 630 AM in Lexington.

Starting pitchers have yet to be announced for either team but it is unlikely to be freshman RHP Nate Harris for the Cats, as he started vs. Ole Miss on Friday. Harris had started five midweek games prior to that.

Over the weekend, the Cats (18-11, 5-7 Southeastern Conference) dropped played three intense, drama-filled games against the No. 9 Rebels. UK won the opener in extra innings but dropped the series, losing the finale in extra innings. The Cats’ last five SEC losses have come by a total of seven runs: 1, 1, 2, 2 and 1.

No. 11 Louisville (24-7, 8-4 ACC) missed the NCAA Tournament last season but have enjoyed a resurrection so far this season and boasts one of the nation’s top hitting teams.
