Isabella Magnelli, Creslyn Brose to Compete at NCAA National Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two Wildcats will have the opportunity to close out their 2025 campaigns at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics National Championships, as Isabella Magnelli and Creslyn Brose were each selected as Individual Event Specialists (ICS) by virtue of their performances at the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional. Magnelli qualified as the regional’s representative on the balance beam, while Brose is set to make her NCAA Championships debut on the floor exercise.

Magnelli and Brose will participate in Session II of the National Semifinals, held on April 17 at 9 p.m. ET inside Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth, Texas. Both Wildcats will rotate with Michigan State, with Magnelli competing on beam in rotation three and Brose performing her floor routine in rotation four. The meet will be televised on ESPN2 with individual event streams available on ESPN+.

IES earned their positions at the National Championships by finishing as the top individual on non-advancing teams using scores from the regional semifinals. IES have the ability to compete for and win individual national championships in their events, with scores from the national semifinals determining final individual standings at the conclusion of Thursday’s competition.

Magnelli has qualified for her third consecutive NCAA Nationals, including a second-straight season as an IES on the balance beam. Magnelli earned her first career regional title last weekend, scoring her 12th career 9.950 on the apparatus to finish in a three-way tie for first with LSU’s Aleah Finnegan and Maryland’s Maddie Komoroski. With Finnegan advancing via her team, Magnelli edged out Komoroski for the Pennsylvania Regional slot due to her higher NQS (the final tiebreaker), as both athletes earned the same 9.95 score from all four judges.

Magnelli has finished as a First Team All-American on the balance beam at each of her last two national championships appearances, scoring a 9.950 on both occasions to finish fourth in 2023 and third in 2024.

Brose was the outright floor champion of the 2025 NCAA Pennsylvania Regional, securing her bid to her first career nationals. The Holly Springs, N.C. native scored a 9.950 in Thursday’s semifinal to post the highest score either session. Twice a Regular Season All-American on the event, Brose will enjoy her first opportunity at an individual national title next Thursday.

Brose is the 21st Wildcat in program history to qualify for the national championships as an individual.
