
No. 9 Kentucky Set for NCAA Pennsylvania Regional
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The ninth-seeded Kentucky gymnastics team is set to open its 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championship run in Happy Valley on Thursday, taking on the field at the Pennsylvania Regional held at Rec Hall in University Park, Pa. The Cats will compete in the first regional semifinal on Thursday, April 3 at 1 p.m. ET, taking on No. 8 Michigan State, Ohio State, and Penn State on ESPN+.
The top two teams from Thursday’s semifinal will advance to the Pennsylvania Regional Final, held on Saturday, April 5 at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Those two teams will be joined by the top two teams from the second regional semifinal featuring No. 1 LSU, No. 16 Arkansas, Michigan, and the winner of the Maryland/West Virginia play-in duel. The four teams in the regional final will be vying for two spots to the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championships in Ft. Worth, Texas, held April 17-19.
Kentucky is making its 36th all-time appearance in the NCAA Regionals, having advanced to the National Championships twice (2018 and 2023). The Cats have featured in regional competition in all 14 seasons under Head Coach Tim Garrison. Since the format changed to two days of competition in 2019, Kentucky has never failed to reach a regional final and has won its regional semifinal three times.
A trio of Wildcats were recently named to the 2025 WCGA Regular Season All-American team, as Isabella Magnelli earned First Team honors on vault and beam and Creslyn Brose and Hailey Davis were each named to the Second Team on floor. Magnelli now holds six career All-America honors, including earning her first laurels on vault joining her five on beam. Brose earned All-America distinction on the floor exercise for the second season in a row, while Davis earned her first career All-America recognition. Magnelli and Davis were also named to the All-SEC, a third career honor for Magnelli and another career first for Davis.
Skylar Killough-Wilhelm also starred for the Cats during the 2025 regular season, finishing .005 points off a All-America nod in the All-Around. The fifth-year transfer from Washington advanced to the NCAA Championships a season ago as an individual and has posted scores of 9.900 or higher on all four events, culminating in a season high all-around tally of 39.625.
The Kentucky roster in loaded with NCAA Championships experience, with all six seniors having competed at the NCAA Championships and five of the six (Magnelli, Davis, Killough-Wilhelm, Jillian Procasky, and Makenzie Wilson) holding All-American status from at least one season.
