UK Track and Field Releases 2025 Outdoor Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky’s track and field program and head coach Lonnie Greene have announced the complete schedule for the 2025 spring outdoor season, which is set to begin on Mar. 14 in Williamsburg, Ky.

The Wildcats are scheduled to compete in as many as 10 meets this spring, culminating the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore. based on potential qualifiers.

Overlapping with the conclusion of the indoor season in Virginia Beach, Va. on Mar. 14-15, the outdoor season will begin in the state of Kentucky with the Cumberlands Early Spring Meet on Mar. 14 at James H. Taylor II Stadium in Williamsburg, Ky.

UCF will host the Wildcats’ second meet of the new season, as the Cats will travel to Orlando, Fla. for the Black and Gold Relays on Mar. 21-22. Following their trip to Orlando, the Wildcats will head west to Austin, Texas for the 97th running of the Texas Relays on Mar. 26-29 at Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field, concluding action for the opening month of March.

Kentucky will open the month of April with a split weekend on the 4-5 at the Jim Click Shootout Invite in Tucson, Ariz., along with a distance only meet in Palo Alto, Calif. for the Stanford Invitational.

The Wildcats will close out the 2025 outdoor regular season, as well as the month of April, with the Tom Jones Memorial Invite in Gainesville, Fla. on Apr. 18-19.

Kentucky will play host to two separate meets at the start of the month of May, including the annual Jim Green Invitational on May 2-3, followed by the start of postseason competition with the SEC Outdoor Championships on May 15-17, both at the UK Track and Field Complex.

National competition will begin on May 28 in Jacksonville, Fla. with that start of the 2025 NCAA East First Round meet at Hodges Stadium, home to the University of North Florida.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships, and the final meet of the outdoor season, will take place in Eugene, Ore. on June 11-14. In 2024, just two weeks prior to the U.S. Team Olympic Trials, the Wildcats concluded the Outdoor NCAA Championships with a gold medal from Kate Powers, a freshman record from Keaton Daniel and top 20 overall finish on the men’s side.
