LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 67 Kentucky women’s tennis team is looking to continue to be undefeated at home as they take on the Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday, Feb. 22. The match will take place at the Boone Tennis Complex, starting at 1 p.m. ET. Admission to both matches is free, and fans can watch the action through live streams included on the website, as well as follow along with live statistics provided by StatBroadcast. 

Coming off a strong 4-0 win against Kansas State, the Cats have been preparing to defend their home court. Now ranked No. 67, Kentucky takes on No. 10 Tennessee at home. With a week off and a home match, the Cats are right for the fight against the rival Volunteers. 

In singles, sophomore Julia Zhu is ranked No. 59 in singles with a record of 6-1 so far. A doubles competitor as well, Zhu teams up with freshman Asuncion Jadue coming off a 6-3 win against KSU. Fifth-year Lizzie Stevens looks to continue to dominate in singles competition as well, with a 5-1 record this year. Stevens will team up with senior Ellie Eades as they look to add a win to their collection, securing the point in doubles in the last match against KSU. 

No. 7 Tennessee, with a current record of 4-1, will travel to Lexington looking to return home with a victory. Fans are encouraged to attend the match at 1 p.m., with free pizza and admission being offered to all.
