LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis team is set to continue their strong season at home this Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, as they take on Eastern Kentucky University in a doubleheader. The matches will take place at the Boone Tennis Complex, with the first match beginning at 10 a.m. ET and the second scheduled for 3 p.m. ET. Admission to both matches is free, and fans can watch the action through live streams on Track Tennis, as well as follow along with live statistics provided by StatBroadcast.

After going 1-1 in their last weekend of competition, the Wildcats are looking to build on their home-court advantage. On Friday, Kentucky was narrowly defeated by Iowa, 4-3, in a match that came down to a single court. However, the team rebounded on Sunday with a dominant 6-1 win over Purdue at home.

Leading the way for Kentucky has been fifth-year senior Lizzy Stevens, who is undefeated in singles play with a 4-0 record. In doubles, Stevens has also been successful, compiling a perfect 3-0 record alongside partners sophomore Julia Zhu and senior Ellie Eades. Eades is also undefeated in singles competition, holding a 3-0 record so far this season.

Eastern Kentucky, currently with a 4-3 record, will visit Kentucky in hopes of snapping the Wildcats’ unbeaten home record. Fans are encouraged to attend both matches at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., with free admission available to all.
