LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky dance team finished in ninth place in the Universal Dance Association Hip Hop division on Sunday in Orlando.
Kentucky was in ninth place after Saturday’s semifinals and was unable to improve its placement, despite a solid routine on Sunday.
“I could not be more proud of how this team battled adversity and still put an amazing routine on the competition floor on Sunday,” said UK head coach Janet Brock. “Our dancers gave everything they had and I could not be more pleased with their effort.”
Kentucky’s best-ever finish in the Hip Hop division came when the Cats finished second in 2021.
On Saturday, UK finished sixth in the Game Day division at UDA nationals.
