Kentucky Gymnastics Summer Camps

The best part of Summer is finally here!

Kickstart your Summer with the Kentucky Gymnastics Summer Camps! Campers will train in the newly renovated Nutter Field House Gymnasium and receive skill instruction from the UK Gymnastics coaching staff, current student-athletes, and outstanding professional coaches. Campers will rotate through all events in an environment geared towards learning new skills and perfecting old ones. This camp is open to female gymnasts ages 6-18, and any skill/competitive level.

 

CAMP SCHEDULE

 

FRIDAY (NO LUNCH PROVIDED)
12:00pm – 12:45pm- Camp Registration

1:00pm – 1:30pm- Introductions
1:30pm – 5:00pm- Gymnastics Training
5:00pm – 6:00pm- Dinner
6:00pm – 7:00pm- Evening Activities
7:00pm- Day 1 of camp concludes. Camper check-out
SATURDAY
8:50- Camper drop off/Check-in Begins
9:00am-12:00pm- Gymnastics Training
12:00pm-1:00pm- Lunch
1:00pm -5:00 pm- Gymnastics Training
5:00pm-6:00pm- Dinner
6:00pm-7:00pm- Evening Activities
7:00 pm- Day 2 of camp concludes. Camper check-out
SUNDAY
8:50am- Camper drop off/Check-in Begins

1:00pm-3:30pm- Gymnastics Instruction

3:30pm-4:00pm- Closing Ceremonies and Dismissal (Parents are welcomed into facility) *
4:00pm- Camp Ends

 

*Due to the size of our practice facility, we are unable to allow parent viewing during gymnastics instruction. We are excited to invite you to join us for our closing ceremonies on Sunday from 3:30-4:00pm.

 

CAMP COSTS

CAMP I: JUNE 27-29

Commuter- $600
$15 group discount (10 or more from same club)/$15 sibling discount (not both)

CAMP II: JULY 11-13
Commuter- $600
$15 group discount (10 or more from same club)/$15 sibling discount (not both)

 

CAMP III: JULY 18-20

Commuter- $600
$15 group discount (10 or more from same club)/$15 sibling discount (not both)

 

A $150.00 deposit per camper is due upon registration
$150 is NONFEFUNDABLE

 

MEDICAL INFO & REQUIREMENTS
UK camps require the following forms to be completed prior to participation:

  1. Registration & Payment
  2. Copy of Physical Form or proof of a physical from your physician (must be signed by a physician, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner in the last 12 months)
  3. Copy of the front and back of health insurance card
  4. Please communicate any special dietary needs at the time of pre-registration

CANCELLATION POLICIES

In the case of a medical cancellation, campers will receive a full refund when provided with a doctor’s note. Any personal cancellation without a doctor’s note will result in a refund minus the $150 deposit. Any cancellation (medical or not) within the 7 days prior to camp will result in no refund.

Tim Garrison Head Coach  •  14th Season

  • Named the 2023 SEC Head Coach of the Year.
  • Led UK to its second ever NCAA Championship appearance, and highest final ranking of 6th.
  • Led UK to tie the uneven bar program record in 2021 at NCAA Regional Semifinals.
  • Led UK to tie the program record team score in 2021 at NCAA Regional Finals.
  • 2019 Central Regional Head Coach of the Year
  • 2018 National Coach of the Year
  • Led UK to its first ever NCAA Championship appearance, highest ever ranking, and four All-American titles and two SEC title in 2018
  • Led UK to all-time scoring record and four All-American titles in 2017
  • Helped produce UK’s first two All-Freshman selections
  • Led UK to an individual All-Around NCAA Championship appearance in 2015
  • Produced 10 NCAA All-Americans at Nebraska
  • Helped lead Nebraska to the NCAA Tournament every season, including two Super Six appearances and two Big 12 Championships
  • Personal coach at the 2000 Olympic trials in Boston, Mass., and 2011 World Championships in Ghent, Belgium
  • Five-time USA Gymnastics Coach of the Year for Southern California (1999, 2001, 02, 03, 04) while at SCEGA Gymnastics where he produced 27 national champions, 10 Junior Olympic National Team members and four Elite National Team members
  • USA Gymnastics Coach of the Year in 2009 for Nebraska (club)
  • 2013 Coach of the Year (UK Athletics)

 

Rachel Garrison Associate Head Coach  •  10th Season      

  • Named the 2023 Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
  • Led UK to its second ever NCAA Championship appearance, and highest final ranking of 6th.
  • Led UK to tie the program record team score in 2021 at NCAA Regional Finals.
  • Led UK to the highest beam score in program history in 2021
  • Led UK to the first ever Super Regional Competition, and highest ever program ranking in 2019
  • 2018 National Assistant Coach of the Year
  • Led UK to the highest ever beam ranking in program history in 2018
  • Coached athletes to an SEC beam title and an All-American beam title
  • Over 20 years of coaching experience spans where she developed gymnasts ranging from beginners to level 10 and elite status gymnasts
  • Served as a program director at the Nebraska School of Gymnastics in Lincoln, Neb., for five years
  • Guided gymnasts to qualify for Junior Olympic nationals in each of her five years
  • Produced a regional beam champion during her tenure with the School of Gymnastics
  • Played a critical role in recruitment, successfully increasing the enrollment in the program from 40 participants to over 170 members

 

Chad Wiest Assistant Coach •  4th Season

  • Named the 2023 Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
  • Led UK to its second ever NCAA Championship appearance, and highest final ranking of 6th.
  • Join UK as the assistant coach in 2021. In addition to a major role in recruiting, he is responsible for coaching vault and floor.
  • Led Washington to back-to-back NCAA National Championships trips, as well as top-20 finishes in all four seasons as assistant coach.
  • Served as the assistant coach for the University of Washington from 2017-2021.
  • Led Illinois to the second-best vault scores in program history in 2015.
  • Served as assistant coach at the University of Illinois from 2014-2016. Here he led an athlete to qualify for the NCAA National Championship.
  • Led Bowling Green to a No. 2 ranking in the MAC on floor in 2013.
  • Served as assistant coach at Bowling Green University from 2012-2013. Here he helped multiple athletes qualify for NCAA Regionals.
  • Member of the Illinois Men’s Gymnastics team from 2007-2011

 

Raena Worley Assistant Coach •  1st  Season

  • Member of the Kentucky Gymnastics team from 2020-2024
  • A 2023 and 2024 AAI Award Finalist
  • Scored five perfect 10.0s during the 2024 Season
  • A 2023 Honda Award Finalist
  • A three-time NCAA National individual qualifier
  • Four-time First team All-American, six-tim second team All-American, and three-time All-SEC team recipient

 

Amy Coyle Director of Operations  •  7th Season

  • Serves as the travel coordinator for UK gymnastics and is responsible for many other duties such as budgeting, assisting with recruiting, apparel, and coordinating camps.
  • Served as the Graduate Assistant for the team in 2018.
  • Competed on bars, beam, and floor throughout her collegiate gymnastics career.
  • Member of the Kentucky Gymnastics Team from 2013-2016.
