Kentucky Diver Sam Duncan and Alumna Kyndal Knight to Compete at USA Diving Winter National Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fifth-year Kentucky diver Sam Duncan and alumna Kyndal Knight (Class of 2023) will represent Kentucky at the 2024 USA Diving Winter National Championships in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday, December 14th. Knight will participate in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and 3-meter synchronized finals while Duncan will compete in just the 3-meter final.
Duncan, a native of Oakton, Virginia, will make his fourth appearance at the Winter National Championships this year. A veteran of the meet, Duncan’s highest finish came in 2022 where he finished eighth in the 3-meter synchronized final and 12th in the 1-meter final. Duncan has been tremendous to start the 2024 collegiate season earning eight top-five finishes through three meets including a 1-meter final event win in the season opener.
Knight, a native of Stanley, North Carolina, will make her fifth appearance at the Winter National Championships this year. Another veteran of the meet, Knight earned silver in 2019 with a second-place finish in the 1-meter final. Knight has finished fourth in the 3-meter synchronized final both in 2021 and 2023 and eighth in the 3-meter final in 2022. One of Kentucky’s most decorated divers in program history, Knight is a 10-time All-American and a member of the 2020 USA Diving High Performance Squad.
The USA Diving Winter National Championships are held from December 11-15 in Bloomington, Indiana on the campus of Indiana University. Attendance is free and the event will be live streamed on the USA Diving YouTube channel here.

Saturday, December 14th
10 a.m. – Men’s 3m Prelim (Duncan)
3 p.m. – Men’s 3m Final (Duncan should he advance)
Sunday, December 15th
10 a.m. – Women’s 3m Prelim (Knight)
4 p.m. – Women’s 3m Final (Knight should she advance)
