Kentucky Diver Avery Giese to Compete at World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Freshman Avery Giese will represent the United States at the 2024 World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The freshman will compete in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and 3-meter synchronized events.
Giese is a five-time USA Diving junior national champion winning the 1-meter championship in 2019 and 2023, the 3-meter championship in 2024, and the 3-meter synchronized championship in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, she took silver at the 2023 Junior Pan American Championships in the 1-meter and 3-meter synchronized events. This will be Giese’s sixth appearance representing the junior national team.

9:15 a.m. – 1-meter Springboard prelims
2:43 p.m. – 1-meter Springboard final
Wednesday, November 27th
6:30 a.m. – 3-meter Springboard prelims
1:00 p.m. – 3-meter Springboard final
Thursday, November 28th
12:00 p.m. – 3-meter Synchronized final
